General Assembly meeting # 2 for 2018

The Youth Forum held its second General Assembly meeting for the year 2018 in Beirut with the participation of 13 member organizations as follows: The Youth Forum held its second General Assembly meeting for the year 2018 in Beirut with the participation of 13 member organizations as follows: Al Azm Youth ,Al Masharee Youth Association, Free Patriotic Movement Youth Sector, Lebanese Forces Students Association, Lebanese Union for People with Physical Disabilities, Masar Association, National Youth Union,Progressive Youth Organization, Safadi Foundation, Soins Infirmiers et Développement Communautaire- SIDC, The Youth and Sports Bureau at Amal Movement, Young Muslims League, Youth and Students Sector at The Lebanese Communist Party.
Participants discussed points on the meeting schedule, a key summary below:
- A new website is developed for the Youth Forum; also, active accounts are on facebook, twitter and youtube. The website will be uploaded in a 2 week time;
- The legal status of the Youth Forum is being reviewed, and an IT system is being developed with the aim to enhance the monitoring of the National Youth Policy by the Forum;
- A meeting is being planned, under the auspices of the Speaker of the House, with relevant MPs with the aim to introduce the National Youth Policy to newly elected and discuss means of collaboration over its implementation;
- A meeting with the Prime Minister is being planned with the aim to introduce the National Youth Policy to him and discuss means of collaboration over its implementation;
- There is a possibility of collaboration with the Organization for Economic and Cooperation Development over the youth policy and good governance.
